Church’s Iranian Boyfriend ?
She wowed us as a child with her angelic voice but teen singing sensation
Charlotte Church is now all grown up and even has a long-term boyfriend,
a DJ from Cardiffe. Although said boyfriend goes by the name of Steven
Johnson, his dark looks and the fact that his twin sister’s name is
Samira makes Gossiping Golnaz wonder if this isn’t another case of
an Iranian ethnic impostor. Whatever the case may be, Church has bigger
problems to face right now. She has been under a lot of controversy
in the media lately because of a very public rift between her mom
and her boyfriend, who basically hate each other. Although all parents
have reservations over their kids’ love lives, Mama Church’s concerns
seemed justified when recently, Church and her boyfriend were involved
in a nasty fight at a London’s exclusive Mayfair nightclub. Apparently,
“Steven” jumped to the defense of his twin sister Samira who was being
choked by her ex-boyfriend. Glasses and bottles were sent crashing
onto the floor as poor Charlotte stood by helplessly and soon after,
the dynamic duo was asked to leave. Oh my. |
Amanpour stands up for JFK Jr.
The claim that Carolyn Bessette Kennedy was a cocaine addict and other
tales of wild and tempestuous antics between Bessette and her husband,
America’s late Golden Boy JFK junior, have been tabloid fodder for a while,
ever since Edward Klein published his new book "The Kennedy Curse."
But while the Bessette and Kennedy family representatives have kept mum
about the whole scandal, CNN correspondent Christiane Amanpour, who knew
John for more than 20 years and was a roommate of his during college,
defended the couple publicly. While she wouldn't comment on the tabloid
stories, Amanpour blasted Klein's book in People Magazine, saying: "I
simply do not recognize [John and Carolyn] in the wild and exaggerated
caricatures that this latest book conjures up," she said. "The
author has taken half truths and untruths and concocted a fictional conclusion."

Russell crowes: American chicks are fat!
Gladiator star Russell Crowe was recently interviewed by phone from his
Sydney home by the morning jocks on WTMX in Chicago about his upcoming
tour with his rock’n’roll band 30 odd foot of grunts. When Kathy Hart,
of the DJ team Eric & Kathy, asked Crowe to reveal whether Australian
female fans throw more undies at the band than U.S. fans, Crowe chuckled
and said: "Well, they throw bigger underwear in America! Why don't
you guys keep your underwear on?" Aouch! So, how come he didn’t say
that to Meg Ryan? As everyone remembers, Crowe destroyed the marriage
of Ryan and her husband Dennis Quaid when he romanced America’s sweetheart
on the set of their film Proof of Life. Crowe is walking a “thin” line
(excuse the pun, Golnaz couldn’t resist) when he criticizes other people’s
weight problems. After all, Italian designer Giorgio Armani famously refused
to give the portly actor his designer wedding tux unless he promised to
shed a few pounds before the posh affaire. The Italian designer, whose
clothes are favored by A-List Hollywood stars, says that he got on with
Crowe very well but had to tell him some truths: “He is simpatico. He
has a very strong personality. We met on the set of GLADIATOR in Rome
which is nice because he has had some bad experiences in fashion because
he is overweight."
